GASTONIA – Leamon Woodrow Hardin, 75 of Gastonia passed away peacefully May 29, 2014 at his residence.

He was native of York County, born, August 21, 1938 to the late Leamon Andrew and Lois Patterson Hardin. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Andrew Paul Hardin, a brother David Hardin and his sisters Ann Hardin, Shirley Gray, Dorothy Jean Hardin

Woodrow was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a charter member of the South Gastonia Fire Department.
He loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed his family.

Woodrow is survived by wife of almost 54 Years, Joyce Burns Hardin,
his children Scott Hardin and wife Jackie of Gastonia,
Joel Hardin and wife Teresa of Jacksonville, NC, and Angela Hardin of Gastonia;
Grandchildren Nathan, Nicholas, Tyler, Scott, Shane, Jake, Eric, and Claire;
sisters, Carolyn Mullinex and Lucy Falls of Blacksburg, SC, Katherine Shipton of Louoff, SC,

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Friday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation Service
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday May 31, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Josh Glandon officiating

Interment will be Private
