Gastonia – William Ronald "Ron" Wheeler, 61, passed away February 24, 2022.
He was born in Victorville (San Bernardino) CA., on October 3, 1960 to the late William Wheeler and Betty Anne Royer Wheeler.
Ron worked most of his life as a truck driver; he later was working as an ER transporter at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, which he loved dearly. He never met a stranger; he had a huge sense of humor and everyone loved him. Ron also had a multitude of friends he made thru the hospital. He will be greatly missed. Ron was a loving and caring father and grandfather.
Left to cherish Ron's memories is his wife of 33 years, Margaret D. Whitsett; his loving daughter, Margaret Anne Wheeler, Allyson Marie Wheeler Hendry, and Stephanie Michelle Wheeler; grandchildren, Bryson Bowen, Addyson Bowen and Madison Craig; sister, Barbara Lynn Wheeler; mother-in-law, Margaret Whitsett; Several nieces and nephews, and abundant of wonderful friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 2nd from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home
