Gastonia ' William Frank Lewis, 89 of 783 Log Cabin Drive, Gastonia
passed away December 30, 2012 at his residence..
He was a native of Banks County, GA born April 24, 1923 to the late Andrew Walton and Frances Bennett Lewis.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Margie Payne Lewis who died in May 2012, and a son Frankie Allen 'Toge' Lewis who died in 2002; 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters
Frank was a member of McAdenville Wesleyan Church, and had retired from Smyre-Carolina Mill with over 44 years.
He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his son, Gary Lewis and wife Pat of Stanley;
and a grandson and care giver Greg and wife Connie, and granddaughters Traci, Shannon and Amy; Six great grandchildren; and a brother Gordon Lewis and wife Betty of Gastonia
Celebration of Life service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Matherlee officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00pm prior to the service
Interment will be Private at Hollywood Cemetery
