Dallas- Wanda Lee Mathis Russell, 67, passed away on April 8, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
Wanda was born in Cleveland County on June 28, 1949 to Tommie Kirkland Mathis Bradley and the late Charlie Lee Mathis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Gibson, brothers Roy, Eddie, Wayne Mathis and Billy Bradley.
Wanda enjoyed fishing with her husband, camping, flea markets and especially girl outings. She loved george's cooking and spending time with her grankids and family.
Left to cherish her memories include her husband of almost 50 years, William George Russell (they were together 53 years), daughter Tonya Hawkins and Eric; grandchildren Dustin, Steven, Ashlyn and Bethany Hawkins; her mother Tommie Bradley; sisters Joyce Thomas, Carol Hardin, Faye Moss and Tammy Suttles, brother Leon Mathis. And many wonderful nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 pm, Monday, April 10,th at Maranatha Baptist Church with A Celebration of Life service to follow at 5:00 pm,
