Walt Keever
1931-2015
Dallas- Walter P. Keever, 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 14, 2015 at his residence with his loving family at his side
He was born in Catawba County, NC on December 26, 1931 to the late Lonnie Mae and David Canton Keever
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mamie Simms and Virginia Kanipe and brother, William H. Keever
Walt was a loving husband, Dad and Pawpaw that will be missed greatly! He worked in Burlington and High Shoals Mills for many years and later retired from J.P. Stevens after 37 years of dedicated service. Walt was a member of Community Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and loved going to church. Walt enjoyed camping and gardening.
Left to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 60 years, Yvonne Friday Keever; daughter, Carol Keever Rhyne and husband Mike; grandson, Cameron Rhyne and fiancé Farran Foolbright; Brother, "Red" Kenneth Keever and wife Lovenia; Several nieces, nephews and many friends
Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, October 16th at Community Baptist Church
Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 17th at Community Baptist Church with Reverend Matt Seagle and Reverend Roy Barbee officiating
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Hope Section with the releasing of the doves
The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Gaston Hospice and her wonderful caregivers, Cindi Mitchell, Tammy Rhyne, Amy Broughton and Kim Lee
