Dallas - Joseph Wade Barrett, 39, passed away suddenly on May 6, 2016 from an automobile accident.
He was born in Gaston County on December 19, 1976 to Donna Hansel and the late Joe Bill Barrett.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother Pauline Hansel.
Wade devoted his life to raising his boys and was very involved in all aspects of their lives. Spending time with his boys brought him much pleasure. His boys adored him as their "Dad" he loved being involved with them; whether he was taking pictures of them to capture special moments or coaching them on the field. He loved watching them compete in sporting events.
He is survived by his loving two sons, Jaiden and Dakota Barrett; his mother, Donna Hansel; his brother, Brian Barrett and his sisters, Sonya Barrett, Erica Moonbeam Barrett and Hayley Barrett.; Four nieces, Heather Nichols, Peyton and Parker Barrett, nephew Devin Alexander; uncle Pearce Ridout, Uncles, Jeff Barrett, Greg Bradley and family, Scott Barrett and family
Wade will invariably be remembered for his devotion to his boys and his limitless capacity for friendship. He always gave so much of himself to everyone that crossed his path and never met a stranger. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed!
A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 11th from 11:00 am until at the Wooten ball field, Dallas; where he spent most of his cherished time with Jaiden and Dakota. There will be food and drinks, music and games with the releasing of the doves at 4:00 pm.
