Belmont - Waddell Hunt Queen, 91, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Robin Johnson House.
He was born in Rutherfordton, NC and was the son of the late Vernon William and Maggie Martin Queen.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Reverend Ellard Queen and Vernon W. Queen, Jr., and sister Francis Edwards
Waddell was a veteran of the US Navy. In his earlier years, he worked with his father at the Airport Amusement Park Charlotte.
Survivors include his niece Karen Wilson of Mt. Holly; brother, W.T. Queen of Gastonia; sisters, Helen Queen Neagle of Lake Wylie, SC; and Barbara Queen Starnes of Clemmons, NC; and several nieces and nephews
Services will be private and at a later date.
