Vivian Robinson Lineberger

Gastonia – Vivian Robinson Lineberger, 82 passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on April 20, 2018.
She was born in Gaston County on May 28, 1935 to the late John Franklin and Clara Edwards Robinson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, George Lineberger, Jr., a great grandson, Benton Lewis Lineberger ; brothers Bobby and Randy Robinson; sisters, Carolyn Kiser and Juanita Hovis.
Vivian was retired from a career as a hairdresser and owner of Lineberger Beauty Shop for many years.
Vivian was a faithful member of South Point Baptist Church for almost 40 years, where she served as a preschool mission friends leader and longtime church cook.
Vivian delighted in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Vivian is survived by her five children, Mickey Lineberger and wife Teena, Lewis Lineberger and wife Dianne, Vickie Throneburg and husband Terry, Dr. Edward Lineberger and wife Sharon, and Dana Joyce and husband Kevin; eight grandchildren, Jason Lineberger and wife Ashley, Eric Throneburg and wife Wanda, Brittany Knapko and husband Brian, Andrew Throneburg and wife Jessica, Matthew Lineberger and wife Megan, Cody Lineberger, Caroline Joyce and Connor Joyce, and 9 great grandchildren; her sisters, Faye Heller and husband Warren, Patsy Ritchie and husband Neal, Eleanor Abernathy and husband Hubert, Jeraldine Morris and husband Joe, Judy Abernathy and husband Buddy; sister in law, Mary Robinson; a host of nieces and nephews; and a longtime friend Sue Payseur.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25th at South Point Baptist Church
A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25th at South Point Baptist Church, 124 Horsley Avenue, Belmont with Reverend Mike Phillips and Reverend Joe Lawing officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens, Mt. Holly, NC
Pallbearers will be Jason Lineberger, Eric Throneburg, Andrew Throneburg, Matthew Lineberger, Cody Lineberger, Connor Joyce and Frank Donaldson
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the South Point Baptist Church Building Fund, 124 Horsley Avenue, Belmont, North Carolina 28012
