Virginia D. Wiggins

Gastonia-Virginia Dare Wiggins, 83, of 2755 Union Road, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Morningside Assisted Living. She was a native of Alexandria, VA., born April 30, 1926 to the late James Alexander Weaver and Bessie Millsap Weaver Short.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chester C. Wiggins, who passed away in 1996; and a brother, Walter Smith, Jr.
Mr. Wiggins was a life long member of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church and is a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church. She was retired from Wix Corp. and loved cooking and sewing
Survivors include children: Randall B. Wiggins and wife Debbie of Kingswood, TX; David C. Wiggins and wife Susan of Charleston, SC; Carolyn W. Jones and husband Ray of Gastonia, NC; Pamela W. Barger and husband Robbie of Gastonia, NC
Brother: Howard Smith of Lake Wylie, SC
Grandchildren: Derrick Jones, Jon Barger, Randy Wiggins and Amy Bolton
Great Grandchildren: Bobby and Caleb Bolton
Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home
Graveside service will be 2:30pm-Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Gaston Memorial Park in the Veterans section with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating
Pallbearers will be Ray Jones, Derrick Jones, Robbie Barger, Jon Barger, Randall Wiggins, David Wiggins, Randy Wiggins and Mike Guffey
The family will be at the home of Carolyn and Ray Jones, 124 Windsong Court, Gastonia, NC
