Gastonia- Virginia Shepard Hester, 82 crossed Jordan on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 to be with her Lord and Savior at Country Time Inn.
Virginia was a native of Rutherford County, born June 30, 1931 to the late William and Amy Swink Shepard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Hester, granddaughter Kimberly Cushing, several sisters and a brother.
She is survived by her daughter, Carleen (Mickey) Rankin, Granddaughter Cindy (Reid) Rollins, Great Granddaughter Chrissy Cushing and Kera Adkins (Kera's dad Steve) Great grandson Scott McCall;
Sister, Mary Cole and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
