Gastonia – Vickie Diane Brown Rogers, 78, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She was born in Gaston County on February 17, 1940 to the late Howard Monroe and Ruth Grigg Brown.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Joe Rogers. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be greatly missed!
Vickie was a member of Flint Groves Baptist Church. She retired from Westvaco with over 30 years of service. Left to cherish her memories includes her son, Warren A. Simms and wife Tammy; her grandson, Matthew; a sister, Andrea Siewiorek and husband Tom, nieces, Lisa Williams and Halle Friedman.
Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 1st at Evergreen "A Quiet Place" Belmont, NC with Reverend Ronnie Bowers officiating. The family will greet guest following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Flint Groves Baptist Church, Christmas Boutique Fund, 2017 East Ozark Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28055.
