Gastonia-Trenton "Scooter" Kennedy, 46, transferred into the arms of Jesus, December 17, 2016.
Scooter is preceded in death by Mother Lola Miller, Father Willis Kennedy, Sister Tessa Bates, Brother Marcus Bates Sr., and Grandson Jarryd Kennedy Norman.
Scooter is survived by wife of 27 years Donna Kennedy, daughters Deanna and Chris Norman and Tracie and Ben Dunivan; Grandchildren Holden, Madilyn, Landon, Brookleigh, and Elizabeth Norman, John Trenton and Arizona Dunivan; In-Laws Jerry and Diane Willard, Brothers Gary(Carol), Glenn(Kathy), Roland(Penny) Bates, and Sister Gay(William) Jory and many nieces and nephews.
Scooter enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids.
The visitation will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 from 6pm-9pm and service will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 1pm both at Gospel Light Holiness Church where he was a member for many years, 104 Welch Ave. Gastonia, NC 28054, Pastors Jerry Willard and Randy Southerland officiating.
