Kings Mountain – Travis Lee Wells, 47, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 1, 2018 due to an automobile accident.

He was a native of Cleveland County, born December 7, 1970 to Ann Jones Green and the late Donald Green. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Cobb, Sister, Pat Passmore and his father in law, Roy Chitwood.

Travis enjoyed working as a Dallas Policeman for over 22 years and was on the Board of Directors at Dallas Rescue for over 5 years. One of his favorite pass times was being a D.J. Travis was a very loving and caring person; he had the biggest heart and would do anything for you. He enjoyed his many trips to the mountains jeep trail riding, camping and the charity runs in Tennessee.

Travis is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jennifer Davison Wells; his mother, Ann Jones Green, brothers, Adam, Larry and Ronnie Green; sisters, Doris Winstead, Pat Allen and Laura Mote; God daughters, Kynlee, Raylan, and Peyton Sellars; his in laws, Rebecca Chitwood, Tom and Sue Davison; several nieces and nephews and too many friends to list.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, November 6th at First Assembly of God, 777 S. Myrtle School Road, Gastonia, NC with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Adam Green officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Dailey, Joey Jordan, Andrew Fulton and Daniel Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston County Toy Run for Kids, 122 Dallas Bessemer City Highway, Dallas, NC 28034.

The family will be at 510 North Piedmont Avenue, Kings Mountain, NC
