Tracey Mauney McFadden

Gastonia – Tracey Mauney McFadden, 61, passed away on July 21, 2023 at her residence.

Tracey was born in Lincoln County on April 27, 1962 to the late Richard “Dick” Mauney and Mary Rogers Mauney. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Barbara McFadden.

Tracey spent her career doing what she loved, caring for others as a nurse for over 30 years. She loved her wiener dogs, Zooey and Boogie but she loved her family above all else. Tracey also enjoyed vacationing at the beach. She leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Wayne McFadden; son, Jonathan McFadden; daughter, Kayleigh McFadden; brothers, Roger Mauney (Fran) and Richard Mauney; nephews, Jake Mauney, Nick Mauney, and Joe Watson; niece, Megan Watson; step-mother, Linda Mauney; and her sister-in-law, Darlene Watson.

The family will receive friends at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Jeff Hicks officiating.
