Toshiko T. Jarvis

Gastonia- Toshiko Tanaka Jarvis, 80, went home to be with the Lord November 9, 2011 at her residence.
She was a native of Yokosuka City Japan, born August 12, 1931 to the late Hatsuko and Tsuru Tanaka. Toshiko was a retired seemstress, and devoted member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband Kenneth David Jarvis, brothers, Takashi and Masaharu Tanaka, sisters, Hatsuko Tanaka, Setsuko McNeal.
Survivors include Sons Bruce Jarvis and wife Karen, Richard Jarvis and wife Jackie, Raymond Jarvis and wife Darlene, Daughters Shelia Bland and husband Bruce, Cheryl Walker and Husband Jeff, and a sister Yoshiko Tokiwa 12 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Toshiko's life will be held 4 pm, Saturday November 12, at Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Reverend Stephen Hensley officiating. A reception will be held following the service in the church's family life center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sandy Plains Baptist Church Building Fund, 5325 Union Road Gastonia , North Carolina 28056
