Gastonia ' Tonya Denise Cox, 48 of Gastonia went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2012 at the Levine Dickson House, Huntersville.
She was a native of Orange County, CA, born December 8, 1963 to Ross William Vaughan and Shirley Jean Visser Vaughan.
Tonya was a fixture at the 2.49 Cleaners on Union Road and was loved by her customers and friends. She never met a stranger and everyone was her friend, she had many lifetime friends such as Tiffany Coble, Jennifer Robertson and Tanya Pepple. Her zest for life, family and friends was her trademark and she made every minute count. She remembered every detail and did the little things that meant a lot.
She was survivor by her husband Michael K. Cox; her father Ross Vaughan of Westminster, CA and her mother Shirley Vaughan of Garden Grove, CA;
Her sisters, Aimee of Dethan, AL, Jillian and Dorian Vaughan of Phoenix, AZ;
Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Friday, July
20, 2012 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Wilson officiating
