"Tommy" James William Terry

Gastonia – James "Tommy" William Terry, 67, joined our heavenly Father peacefully on September 25, 2016 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Gaston County on February 17, 1949 to the late William and Jennie Pearl Newton Terry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Linda Diane Terry; his daughters, Teresa Terry and Angie Strickland and grandson Joshua Warlick.
Tommy was a member of Bethel House of Prayer. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him!
Left to cherish his memories include his wife, Gina Gregory Terry; his daughters, Lisa Terry and Jennie Terry and his beloved family, Reverend James and Jennifer Terry, Kenneth Strickland, Ariel Strickland, Chris Clark and fiancée Brittany Poole, Stephanie and Truman Counts, Brittany and David DeWeese; Arron Thompson, Noah, Mariah and Willie Terry; Madison and Rylen Bolton, Alaina and Waylon Counts and Brayden Clark; and step children, Holly and Aaron Albrecht; Grant Sanders and Courtney Sanders; step-grandchildren; Vincent and Kayden Albrecht and Damion and Bradly Sanders.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 27th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Freewill Church of Jesus Christ, 145 Hamrick Road, Gastonia, NC 28056.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, September 28th at 1:00 p.m. at Freewill Church of Jesus Christ with Pastor Alex Haislip, Pastor Lonnie Harris and Pastor Mike Hedgecoe officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chris Clark, David DeWeese, Arron Thompson, Jody Messer, Billy Haas, Grant Sanders and Aaron Albrecht.
Interment will follow at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
