Tommy Charles Payseur, Jr.

Tommy Charles Payseur, 47, passed away suddenly at his residence on July 30, 2024. 

 He was born in Gaston County on May 23, 1977 to Tommy Charles Payseur, Sr. and Talthy McMahan Watts. 

 Tommy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and was an excellent bow hunter and his dog Zoe was his best companion. He was a great cook, especially cooking on the grill, and experimenting with homemade marinades. Most of all he loved his boys, Tommy and Leeland. 

 Those left to cherish Tommy’s memory are his parents, Dennis and Talthy Watts and Tommy and Ramona Payseur; sons, Tommy C. Payseur, III and Leeland Hope; brothers, Jenson Payseur and Heath Payseur; sisters, Yolonda Walker (Danny), Kimberlea Watts, Sharanda Payseur (Michael), and Kendra Watts; and many nieces and nephews. 

 Family and friends will gather from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Daniel E. Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
