Tim Davis
1964-2016

Gastonia – Timothy Shaun Davis, 51, life-long resident of Gastonia, Hunter Huss High School and Gardner Webb University graduate, has entered into his eternal rest. For the last 3 years, he fought the good fight against glioblastoma brain cancer.

On March 12, 2016, he won the final battle and is now home with his dear Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ. He spent his last days in his home with his loving family as his caretakers.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and dear bride of 30 years, Robyn Gamble Davis, and his most prized earthly gifts, his 5 children; Adam Michael Davis (24) and wife Lindsi; Matthew Allen Davis (22), Audrey Elizabeth Davis (18), Kathryn Diane Davis (16) and Benjamin Luke Davis (10). He is also survived by his brother, Scott Davis and wife Marsha, sister, Beth Beheler and his dad, Reggie Davis.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Elizabeth Davis and precious baby Grace lost in 2003 to miscarriage.

Tim was a church member of Reformation OPC. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him as a faithful servant of Christ, an incredible husband who loved his wife as Christ loved the church and a wonderful father determined to raise his children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. He would be the first to recognize his failures in these roles and give glory to God for all the successes. Even now he is rejoicing as the Lord says to him, 'Well Done, good and faithful servant….enter into the joy of your master.'

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, March 17th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 18th at 3:00 p.m. at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 1401 Hoffman Road, Gastonia, NC 28054 with Pastor Joseph Fowler officiating.
