Gastonia- Thomas Edward "Tommy" Adair, 64 of Gastonia passed away suddenly on April 13, 2014 at Kings Mountain Hospital.
He was born in Gaston County on February 10, 1950 to the late Thomas Newman and Joyce Parlier Adair. Tommy was an U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War serving from April 22, 1969 to March 9, 1973 in Okinawa.
Tommy was a lover of music and he enjoyed playing the guitar. He was always happy, putting his family first, and never had anything bad to say. Tommy was a big UNC Carolina fan.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
A Graveside Service will follow 4:00pm, Friday, April 18, 2014 at Armstrong Cemetery with Military Honors by The Gaston County Honor Guard
