Bessemer City –Thomas Franklin "Frank" Cape, Sr., 81, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Clinton, SC on June 17, 1935 to the late James Tillman and Beulah Hurt Cape.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Jane Groves Cape; brothers T.J., Junior, Jack, Harlen and Ed Cape and sisters, Hazel Ensley, Irene Cape and May Drew
Frank was a member of Holland Memorial Baptist Church. He was a truck driver most of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Left to cherish his memories include his wife, Geraldine Ford Cape; daughter, Patti Denton (Billy Joe); sons, Thomas "Tony" Cape, Jr. (Leticia); Timothy Eugene Cape (Lori) and Brian Cliff Cape (Carolyn); 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; step children, Steve and Cathy Ford; Marty and Tonya Vondra; Mike and Rhonda Peregory; brother, Paul Cape; sisters, Faye German, Mary Helen Hedgepath and Christine Thomas
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, April 28th from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m., at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel with Ronnie Dale and Joey Denton officiating.
Interment will follow at Evergreen "A Quiet Place" Belmont, NC
