Thelma Vernon Chapman

Gastonia – Thelma Vernon Chapman, 76 of 414 East Main Street, Dallas passed away June 15, 2013 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Gaston County, born December 1, 1936 to the late Johnny and Lillie Crawford Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Calvin Price, and daughter Rhonda Gail Chapman.
She was retired from textiles, working at Sherman Textiles and Rhyne Floral Supply. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her son Scott Chapman and a daughter Shari Lynn Chapman, both of Dallas; grandchildren Stacey Jackson, Angela Hensley and Matthew Chapman; great grandchildren Taylor, Tyler, Ciera, Trey, Hope and Faith.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service
A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00pm Thursday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Lawing officiating.
Burial will follow at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery
