Gastonia – Ted J. "Bo" Herms, 59 passed away November 29, 2013 at Carolina Medical Center from injuries received November 15, 2013.
He was a native of Gaston County, born August 4, 1954. Parents were the late Johnnie R. and Mildred Parks Herms and Margaret McDonald
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Linda Watts, and Brother Lewis "Charlie" McDonald
Bo was a member of Sunset Forest Baptist Church, Gastonia, and worked at Stanley Total Living Center. He was a lifetime member of the South Point Life Saving Crew.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Dianne Morse Herms; his children, Mike Herms and wife Christina of Gastonia, Stepson Andrew Wingo and wife Sharon of Mooresville; grandchildren Alexandra and Allyssa Wingo, Hunter Word; Brothers, Harry Walker of Horseshoe, NC; Michael McDonald of Gastonia; Tommy McDonald of Hope Mills, NC; Sisters Evelyn Leigh of Mc Adenville, Joyce Henry of Texas, Mary "Cookie" Herbster of Rutherfordton, Susan Bailey of Fayetteville
Celebration of Life service will be 3:00pm Monday, December 2 at Sunset Forest Baptist Church, 903 Hickory Grove Road, Gastonia with Reverend Jeff Hicks and Chaplain Ivan Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00pm prior to the service
Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery "A Quiet Place" with Releasing of the Doves
Pallbearers will be Bryan Clubb,David Helms, Josh Johnson, David Ramey,George Holbrooke, Doc McCullough,Craig "Twig" Branch and Tommy McDonald
