Susan Adele Evans

Dallas – Susan Dodgen Evans, 77, passed away on June 29, 2022 at Peak Resources in Gastonia.

Susan was born in Gaston County on January 15, 1945 to the late Woodrow Wilson Dodgen and Sara Robinson Dodgen. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Craig Evans, Jr.

Susan was a graduate of Dallas High School. She was a lifelong member of Gastonia Church of Christ. She and her husband Craig was owner & operator of the Country House Florist and Caterer.

Left to cherish her memories is her three sons, Kevin Evans and wife Beth Evans, Barry Evans, and Brent Evans; and her grandson, Joshua Evans.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 1, at Church of Christ, 1919 North New Hope Road, Gastonia with a Celebration of Life Memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Walt Griggs officiating. Interment will be private.
