Gastonia- Sue Pope Weathers, 65, went home to be with the Lord August 28, 2010.
She was a native of Gaston County, born February 18, 1945 to the late Frank and Vernie Houser Parker. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church. Sue worked as a waitress for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Wilson Weathers,
a son Wayne Pope of Gastonia; a daughter, Pamela Cavender and a step-daughter Nikki Hutchens both of Gastonia
One brother, James parker of Gastonia; mother and father-in-law: James and Lois Quinn Weathers of Gastonia; Six Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, August 31, at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leo Kuykendall
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service
Interment will follow at Armstrong Cemetery
Memorials may be made to Zion Baptist Church, 2437 S Propst Street Gastonia, NC 28056
