Dallas-Steven N Smart, 61 of Dallas passed away peacefully December 4, 2011 at his residence.
He was a native of Gaston County, born April 22, 1950 to the late
Rufus Vernon Smart and Patsy McGinnis Parker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Fred Wilson 'Dub' Parker, Jr., and his stepmother Mabel Smart.
Steve retired from AMP, Inc. and had worked for Summey Building Systems for many years. He attended Grace Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines.
Survivors include his wife of 38 year's Camille Banks Smart;
His beloved daughters Chasity S Watson and husband Rob of Lake Wylie, SC; and Brandy Smart of Dallas;
Granddaughters Shelby Ann Watson and Rankin Crews Watson
And a sister Barbara S Potter of Dallas
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Joseph Hensley and Pastor Fain Farmer officiating.
The family will receive friends 6:00 until 8:00pm Monday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Interment will be at Westview Gardens with Military honor
