Gastonia – Robert Stephen Kaylor, 62 passed away on May 2, 2015 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born on January 14, 1953 in Gaston County to Sara Jones Kaylor and the late John Richard Kaylor, Jr.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother John Richard Kaylor, III
Stephen was a nine year survivor of Multiple Myeloma. He was a man of many interests, and hobbies throughout his life. He was an avid reader and held his family and friends in the highest regard . Stephen was an inspiration to all who met him and had an unforgettable personality. He retired from Norfolk- Southern Railways after 32 years as an A1 Track Foreman. He was a member of the Covenant United Methodist Church and lived his entire life in Gaston County.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Cecelia Breedlove Kaylor; his mother Sara Jones Kaylor; children Shane Kaylor and wife Hillary, Tonda Nolen and Bobby Landires; Grandchildren, Savannah and Delaney Kaylor, Tessa and Tanner Landires; Great-granddaughter Stella Barrett Brothers Ray Kaylor and wife Judy, Billy Kaylor; Sister Alice Perkins and husband Bob, and many extended family, nieces , nephews and friends.
