Bessemer City- Vaughn "Sonny" Franklin, Jr., 54, passed away on September 14, 2016 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Gaston County on December 9, 1961 to the late Carrie Biddix and Vaughn Franklin, Sr.
Most knew him by "Sonny". He worked in the past with his brother doing asbestos work and enjoyed that trade. Sonny had a passion for art and loved working on bicycles and lawn mowers in his spare time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his daughter, Stacy Chapman; sisters, Brenda Lowery and Sherry Miller and brother, Timothy Bruce Franklin
