Gastonia-Shirley Alexander Jackson, 75 passed away peacefully Sunday February 9, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
Shirley was a native of Gaston County, born January 3, 1939 to the late David Lester Alexander and Emma Griffin Alexander
She had retired after a long career with Pharr Yarn, McAdenville. Shirley was a loving person to all.
She is survived by her brother, David L. Alexander and wife Nadine of Mt. Holly;
Her Son Robert "Mitch" Jackson and wife Mariann of Gastonia,
her daughter Melinda Moore and husband Ken of Fort Mill, SC;
her grandchildren Christopher and Chelsea Jackson, Emma "Katie" Adams, Stacy Prine and William Pitts; great grandchildren Staisha, Colin and Andrew
and her three kitty's Angel, Fluffy and Kitty Boy
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Monday, February 10, 2014 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00am Tuesday, February 11th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
with Reverend Ron Duncan officiating.
Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery with The Releasing of the Doves
