Gastonia – Shirley Ann Brackett, 63 passed away peacefully on September 9, 2018 at her residence.
She was born in Gaston County on May 26, 1955 to the late Marshall Lee and Florence Short
Armstrong. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Brackett.
She was a loving mother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed!
Shirley worked in textiles for many years before working at Gus', Mt. Holly and The Country Kitchen, Dallas. Shirley would help anyone that she could. She was loved by all including her nieces and nephews; that were a big part of her heart. She knew that God had a special place waiting for her.
Left to cherish her memories includes her son, Calvin "Lebo" Brown;
grandson, Jaydin Brown; brother, Bobby (Mary) Armstrong
and sisters, Jane Armstrong and Diana Cromer; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be 6:00 p.m., Monday, September 17th at Grace Baptist Church, 2200 Auten Road, Gastonia
