Gastonia ' Sharon Dominy 'Sherry'Simmons, 55 of Gastonia passed away July 3, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation of Gastonia
She was a native of Gaston County, born January 25, 1957 to the late Gordon Rochelle and Merle Wiggins Dominy.
She was a loving mother, and friend to all.
Sherry was a 1975 graduate of Ashbrook High School, where she enjoyed being in the color guard, playing the piano and swimming.
She loved going to her boy's soccer games when they were younger and was very proud of them today for both boys serving in US Army, serving in Iraq. She had retired from textiles.
She is survived by her sons, Doug and Billy Simmons of Charlotte
Her brothers, Rick Dominy and wife Polly; of Gastonia and Dale Dominy of Lenoir.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00pm, Friday, July 6, 2012
