Dallas- Sherri Jean Hovis Walker, 41 of Calabash, passed away suddenly May 29, 2016 at Medical University of Charleston, South Carolina.
Sherri was born in Gaston County on March 10, 1975.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl and Helen Withers; Jack and Helen Hovis.
Sherri will be remembered as a loving and devoted daughter and friend. She was always kind and friendly to all that knew and loved her. Sherri was a member of Community Baptist Church, where she was in GA's. She was a 1993 graduate of North Gaston High School and was also a cheerleader. She enjoyed living at the beach and fishing. Sherri also enjoyed music of any kind. She loved her family and will be missed by all!! Sherri was a beautiful person inside and out. She had a wonderful, big and caring heart.
Left to cherish her memories include her loving parents, Marcia Withers Hovis and Mike Hovis; a brother Carey Hovis and wife Heather; nephews Trevor and Carey, Jr.; her fiancé, Shane Crews; her fur babies, Bitsi and Pepe; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, June 2nd from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Community Baptist Church with A celebration of life service to be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 3rd at Community Baptist Church, 823 Dallas Stanley Hwy., Dallas, NC with Pastor Matt Seagle officiating.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Hovis, Dan, Jonathan and Ishmael Davis, Earl and Eric Withers.
Interment will be at a later date at Sunset Beach
