Gastonia –Shelia Daniels Chavis, 56, suddenly went to heaven to be with her mother and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 1:45 am at her mother's house in Burlington, NC.
She was born in Alamance County, Burlington on October 24, 1958 to the late Mary Frances Allred Daniels and Wayne Harden Daniels.
Shelia was a beloved wife and sister who will be missed greatly. She worked with CPI Securities in customer service. Shelia attended Promised Land Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Bob Marvin Chavis, Jr.; son, Bobbie Marvin Chavis, III; sisters, Linda Hunt Byrd of Poquoson, VA, Kay Crist of Concord and Dianne Gonzales of Mt. Holly, Deborah Fremont of Hampton, VA; brothers, Larry Daniels of Durham, Sam Daniels of Tampa, FL, Mike Daniels of Durham, Kenneth Daniels of Efland and Randy Daniels of Burlington. Aunt Shelia or LaLa loved all of her numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm on Saturday, September 26th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Harold Blankenship officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Luke Section with the releasing of the doves.
Pallbearers will be Steve Wilson, Paul Anderson, James Abee, Sam Daniels, Larry Daniels, and Kenneth Daniels
