Gastonia- Selma Lane Childers Withers, 87 passed away peacefully February 6, 2015 at Peak Resources, Gastonia.

She was born in Spartanburg County, SC on March 15, 1927 to the late Les and Goldie Neal Lane.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, James Childers and Ferrell Withers, brother Hoyt Lane and sister, Virginia Gallman

She was a member of East Baptist Church.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Brenda C Atkins and husband Orren of Gastonia;
and her granddaughters Robin Poole and husband David of Indian Trail and Angie Tindall of Monroe; great granddaughters, Summer Cline (Kevin) of Belmont, Amanda Williams (Jay) of Monroe and Stephanie Seate of Monroe; great great grandchildren, Jordyn Oakes of Monroe, Rhett Cline and Rose Cline of Belmont, and Jayden Williams of Monroe; Twin sister, Thelma L Kinard, and a brother Harold Lane

Funeral service will be Monday, February 9th at 2:00 pm at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Ledford and Reverend Jack Fleming officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home

Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens, 1219 E. Cherokee, Blacksburg, SC With the releasing of the doves
Pallbearers will be Kevin Cline, Eddie Groves, Gary Groves and David Poole
