Gastonia – Scott Queen, 47 – passed away. He was born in Gaston County on January 16, 1968 to Randy Gene and Roma Colvard Queen
Scott was very strong family man – he loved his kids! He had the most uplifting personality; his smile would light up a room! Scott was a 1986 Hunter Huss graduate and worked for YRC – Freight Co., in Charlotte. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf with his dad. Scott will be missed by so many!
Survivors include his parents, Randy and Roma Queen; children, Kelsey Queen Witcher and Justin Keith; Payton Wescott Queen; Zoie Elise Queen; and Casen Zane Queen
grandchildren; Landon Witcher and Nova Witcher
sister; Lisa Queen Spencer and her family Amanda Leigh Thrantham (Matthew); Mason James, Matthew Daniel and Madison Grace
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6:30 pm, Friday, October 23rd at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Overton officiating
The family will receive friends 5:00 – 6:30 pm prior to the service
Interment will be private
