Sarah Elizabeth Granados

Gastonia – Sarah Elizabeth Granados, 37, passed peacefully on April 12, 2023 at her residence with her family by her side.

Sarah was born in Cottonwood, Arizona on October 5, 1985 to Jeff Reed and Sherri Abstender. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Elizabeth Dalton and her grandfather, Charles Reed.

Sarah was a loving wife, Christian, and mother who always put her family first. She was the glue that held her family together. Her personality was silly and pushed the boundaries in all the best ways.  She loved animals and would rescue anything sick to make it well again. Sarah was a fighter and shared her multi-organ transplant journey with her thousands of followers on social media. She shared her story in a raw and open way that touched countless lives and inspired many people to be organ donors and save lives. Sarahs life and legacy will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Jeff Reed (Becky) and Sherri Abstender, step-father, Donnie Bauder, she is survived by her husband of 19 years, Gabriel Granados; son, Jordan Granados; daughters, Alexis and Mackenzie Granados; brother, Justin Reed (Lindsey); twin sister, Samantha Degeer (Jacob); grandfather; Belu Abstender; grandmother, Judy Reed; and her mother-in-law, Lisa Granados.
