Gastonia – Sandra Lowder Williams, 68, went to be with her Heavenly Father on October 14, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Alamance County on May 5, 1950 to the late Wendell and Anne Hayes Lowder.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Lowder.
Sandra was a member of Providence ARP Church Gastonia. She was a 1972 graduate of Wake Forest and received her Master's Degree from SWBTS in 1976 and Masters of Library Science from UNCG in 1989. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed!
Left to cherish her memories includes her husband Terry Paul Williams; son, Joel Williams; daughter, Joy Smith (Jason) of Sanford, NC; grandchildren, Regan Smith and Aiden-Connor Smith; brother, Terry Lowder of Bonita Springs, FL; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 18th at the Providence Presbyterian ARP, 2850 Union Road, Gastonia, NC with Reverend Harper Price officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves.
