She was a native of Washington, DC, born March 9, 1940 to the late Jesse and Zelda Newton Holmes.
She was a member of Generations Church.
Survivors include husband James E. Henderson; son Jerry Carrick, daughters Lori Flaherty Jamie N. Infield, Jodi Prescott, and Jennifer Grindner, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents and one sister Donna Vanwyehouse.
A Celebration of Life Service with be Monday
