Dallas - Sam Friday Willis, 86 passed away suddenly on June 10, 2016 at his residence.

He was born in Gaston County on October 3, 1929 to the late Avery Pearson Willis, Sr. and Myrtle Friday Willis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Frances Rice Willis,his brothers and their wive's Ted (Dot), Jake (Jeanette), Dalton, Pete (Ira) and sisters Juanita Willis Robinson and Elizabeth Willis (Ducky) Hannah

Sam was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dallas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had retired from J.J. Digh with over 20 years of service. Sam enjoyed gardening, working on his fleet of lawn mowers and watching any and all western movies ever made. Most of all he enjoyed his dog Molly…

Left to cherish his memories includes his son Sammy (Wendy) Willis; granddaughters, Erika and Carli Willis; several nieces and nephews and his loving fur baby Molly

Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 13th prior to the service.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, June 13th at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Caroll Flack officiating

Interment will be at Forest Lawn, Lincolnton
