Stanley- Sam Merton "Big Sam" Switzer, 69 passed away Saturday, August 24th, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Trumansburg, New York on March 22, 1945 to the late Richard and Rosalind Switzer. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Edward Switzer.
He enjoyed riding his Harley and going to Bike week at Daytona Beach for over 35 years. Sam also enjoyed working in his garage, muscle cars, his many toys, and most of all Coyote Joes.
He loved working in his yard, pine trees and the simple life.
Survivors include his children, Jeffrey Switzer, Richard Switzer and Mark Switzer;
Brothers, Lyman, Carl and Glenn Switzer; Sister Norma Wigden;
Grandchildren, Zach, Charlie, Harley and Ellie Switzer
And too many friends to mention
Receiving of friends will be from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia NC. Services will be private.
