1932-2015
Russell Phillip Scibetta, "Russ", 83, entered into his heavenly home on October 25, 2015 after a
lengthy illness.
A Buffalo native, he enjoyed his retirement years in North Ft. Myers, FL, before relocating to NC.
In addition to his parents, Cataldo & Rosa (Fara) Scibetta, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Joann; sisters, Mary Scibetta and Assunta Desmond; brothers- in-law, Santo Desmond, Julius Soos and Angelo Martinelli.
Left to cherish his memories include his children: daughters, Deborah Baldi (Douglas) of Lowell, NC; Angela Williams, of Columbia, SC; sons, Carl Scibetta of Kure Beach, NC and Joseph (Yvonne) Scibetta of Turkey, NC; sisters, Sarina Soos and Augustine Martinelli; and brother, Frank (Florine)Scibetta; and dear friend, Bonnie Zuber, all of Buffalo, NY. Further survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and too many friends to mention.
Rite of Committal Service will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 7th at St. Francis of Assisi Chapel Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 3063 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga, NY 14225.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Gaston Hospice, Post Office 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054 and/or Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
