Gastonia – Russell Emery Gummeson, 88 passed away October 31, 2014 at Country Time Assisted Living.
He was born in Wayne County, CO on April 24, 1926 to the late Olof M. and Minnie Holcomb Gummeson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerry, Lloyd, Clarence, Ed and Carl; sisters Opal, Bethel and Marie
Russell was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Congregation and enjoyed reading. He moved to Gastonia in 1984 from Asheville and had worked in Construction Siding.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ruth Irene Boss Gummeson
his sons, Michael and Brian Gummeson
Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 15th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2250 Davis Park Road, Gastonia with Elder Michael Zelkanich officiating.
Visitation will be follow the service
