Russell Duane Dennis, Jr.

Russell Duane Dennis, Jr, 65, of York, South Carolina, passed away on September 16, 2023 at his residence.

He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Russell Duane Dennis, Sr. and Therese Hedrick Dennis.

Russell lived most of his life in Gastonia and was a devout Christian. He worked as a painter all of his life. Russell loved his family and his friends and had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews. Russell will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his siblings, Denise Dennis, Susan Dennis, Chris Dennis (Josephine), Joe Dennis, Sean Dennis, Eric Dennis (Staci); nephews, Deven, Keegan, Corrin, Ethan, Damien, Christian, Jordan, Noah, Darrin; niece, Randa; and 3 grandnieces.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Grace Baptist Church, 2200 Auten Road, Gastonia, North Carolina. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David MacEachern officiating.
