Gastonia ' Rudyard Graham 'Rudd' Cable, 84 of Gastonia went to his Heavenly Home November 18, 2012 at his residence.
He was a native of Gaston County, born September 18, 1928 to the late Paul and Mildred Payne Maddox.
Rudd was retired from Warner Swasey with over 34 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he loved his family.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Jeanne Tate Cable;
Two sons, Scott Hasty and wife Becky of York, SC, Steve Moore and wife Leona of Gastonia; granddaughter Candace Edwards and husband Roger of Belmont; and two great grandchildren Brianna and Allan Edwards.
A Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday November 21 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Boyce officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 12:30 following the service.
Inurnment will be private in The Columbarium Garden at South Minister Presbyterian Church.
