Bessemer City – Ruby Page Woody, 71, passed away at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on July 28, 2020.
She was born in Gaston County on February 8, 1949 to the late Lewis Daniel and Callie Mae Hyatt Page. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Thomas Dewey Woody; sons, Shane and Thomas "Tommie" Woody; and daughter-in-law Lucinda Woody.
Ruby loved music, dancing, reading and spending time with her family. She enjoyed sewing and worked as seamstress for many years.
Ruby is survived by her sisters, Brenda Guthrie and Linda Huggins and husband Max;
Brothers, Tony and Bobby Thornburg; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, July 31st at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Lawing officiating. Inurnment will be private at Hollywood Cemetery.
