Gastonia – Ruby Stockton Farrell, 87, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2017 at Stanley Total Living Center surrounded by her daughters.
She was born in Greenville, SC to the late Furman and Annie McLean Stockton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina Little; one brother and three sisters.
Ruby was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed! She worked in textiles most of her life and was a private caregiver for many years.
Left to cherish her memories includes her daughters, Karen Brady (Bob) of Iron Station; Debbie Scarborough (Scott) of Gastonia; Paula Harris of Dallas, Wendy Herring of Cornelius; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and sister, Lou Averman, of Homosassa, FL and brother, Furman Stockton of Woodruff, SC
Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, January 27th from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the Celebration of Life service at 3:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David MacEachern officiating.
Interment will be Private.
The Family extends heartfelt appreciation to Stanley Total Living Center for the care, love and support given to Ruby and her family.
