Crouse – Ruby Bell Eller Smith, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 24, 2019 at the Robin Johnson House with her loving daughter by her side.
She was born in Cherokee County, NC on June 20, 1931 to the late John William and Lucy Hullett Bell. In addition to her parents, 3 sisters, 3 brothers and 7 others, she was preceded in death by her husband's Denver Eller and Fred Smith.
Mrs. Smith worked at Wix Corp for over 25 years and Pharr Yarns for over 5 years. She was a charter member of Sharon Free Will Baptist. She was a Godly loving woman and enjoyed working in her gardens and flowers.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Phyllis and husband Michael Cain "her favorite son-in-law"; 5 grandchildren, Denver Lee Cain (Mildred), Timothy Scott Cain (Mary), Matthew Ray Cain (Paula), Rubin Odell Cain, Michael Robert Cain (April) and 4 step grandchildren, Darlene Simpson (Ricky); Kim Chenille (Billy); David Mack and Steve Mack; 20 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Iris Ann Grahm, Johnny and Jeff Bell from Chicago; Bubba and Lucy Harris; Billy and Robin Youngblood and Joe and Shirley Cassidy and Tammy Hampton; step-sons Darrell Smith and Tam Smith; step-daughter, Rhonda McSwain; special guest, Natasha Raphael and DJ Cain from Washington State.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the Celebration of Life service at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Sharon Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Odell Cook and Reverend Shannon Williamson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Denver Cain, Matthew Cain, Michael Cain, Brian Smith, Jason Smith and Billy Youngblood.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Phyllis for the funeral expenses.
