Gastonia – Roxanna Warren Welch , 87, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2015 at the Robin Johnson House.
She was born in Cleveland County on May 28, 1928 to the late Edgar and Hope Ross Warren
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Paul Edward Welch and son, Ronald Edward Welch brothers and sisters Lilly Wilson, Epsie Kendrick, Helen Grady, Bessie McIntyre, Marion Warren, James Warren, Rufus Warren, and Emma Hill
Roxanna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly! She was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. She loved gardening, antiques and collectibles; and loved talking to her friends!
Survivors include her son Harold David Welch and wife Amy Hendrix of Boca Raton, Fl; grandsons, Paul Edward Welch, Michael David Welch and Nicholas James Welch; sister, Sue Childers of Rock Hill, SC and half-brother Max Warren of TN
Celebration of life service will be Sunday, September 6th 3:00 pm at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Brown officiating.
Visitation will be 1 hr prior to the service
Interment will follow at Sandy Plains Baptist Church cemetery with the releasing of the doves
The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to her caregivers and for the care she received while at Robin Johnson.
