Gaffney, SC - Rose Marie "Tootie" Bolding Spicer, 76, passed away peacefully on
December 17, 2018.

She was born in Gaston County on April 29, 1942 to the late Clifford and Geneva Haynes Bolding.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Dale Spicer; sisters and brothers, Betty McAteer, Jeanette Clark and Jimmy Bolding.

Tootie was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed! She was a member of Crowders Mountain Baptist Church and served as music director for over 20 years. She loved to sing and bowl and had been on a couple of bowling teams in Shelby and Gastonia.

Left to cherish her memories includes her husband of 58 years, Claude Spicer; her sons, Bryan (Tracy) Spicer; Clint (Ginger) Spicer; Grandchildren, Victoria, Dallis, Bryanna, Nathan, Courtney and Bethany; great grandchildren, Emma, Carson, Maisy, Brooklyn, Tucker and Isabella; brothers and sisters, Thelma McCarthy, Libby Williams, Wayne Bolding, Shirley Adams, David Bolding, Sandra Lane, Vickie Welch, Mike Bolding, Pam Jenkins and Cindy Carpenter.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22nd at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Clint Spicer officiating.

Interment will be private Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mt., NC
