Gastonia - Rosa Lee McDonald, 99, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2014 at Meadowood Nursing Center.
She was born on September 30, 1914 in McBee, South Carolina to the late Fletcher and Vermel Steen Johnson.
Rosa was a loving mother, grand and great grandmother and loved all her family and especially loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Henry Clyde Ragsdale and second husband, Bill McDonald; her son Linwood Ragsdale, daughter, Wanda Tucker; brothers; Carson Johnson, Ward Steen sisters, Florence Cadell, Lillian Turner and granddaughter, Sherri Collins.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda R. Hashim and husband Khalid; Sister, Ruth Quickle; Grandchildren, Tammy Rowe, Timothy Cogdill, Jamila Hashim-Gregory, Scottie Collins; Great Grandchildren, Ashley Greenway, David Bradley, Justin and Jack Gregory; Great- Great Grandchildren; Avione Greenway, Parker Greenway, Dalayla Garcia and Aloreya Garcia.
Graveside Service will be Sunday, September 21st at 2:00 p.m. Eastside Cemetery, Rockingham, NC
